Crosses of the World for Necklaces

With Easter over, we have witnessed many crosses being worn as necklaces and earrings.  Sterling Canyon has sold many crosses in the past month.  Besides being attractive, do you really know the true meaning of the style of cross you are wearing?

  Standard Christian cross.

Celtic Cross.  Used mainly in the British Isles,  it is more a symbol of the Anglican church.

Egyptian Ankh.  Used as a meaning of life and fertility.

Coptic Cross.  Represents the Christians in Egypt and Ethiopia.

Kakenkreuz.  Ancient religious symbol.  Can be found on pre-20th century cemetary gates in Europe.  Hitler saw this at his local boyhood cemetary and reversed it and stood it on its tip to form the familiar swastica.

One of Sterling Canyon’s most popular crosses this Easter season.   Their are many interpretations and styles of crosses.  Only one style was used by the Romans to crucify criminals.
