Sterling Canyon Remembers Davy Jones

Sterling Canyon is a big fan of Davy and the Monkees.  What an incredible career and life that ended today.  His music and voice will continue to live on.  Some of his best songs and company favorites are “Sterling Canyon Sunday”, “I’m a Jeweler”, and “Last Train to Rocksville”.  He and the other Monkees did not write their hit songs.  That is one of the reasons why the band broke up in 1970.  They were tired of playing other peoples songs.

Davy started his career as a horse jockey, racing in England.  Disenchanted, he went into acting, starring in the play “Oliver”.  He was then picked to join the Monkees.  Watch the re-runs folks on TV-Land and Youtube.  They are fun to watch and shows the versatility of a great performer.
